I hung around all day, wishing I'd brought a larger board: The forecast F6-8 was nowhere to be seen. With the wind dead onshore again, I was in no hurry to repeat yesterday's rinsings.

About 3pm, the wind did pick up a notch or two, so I rigged up the 5.5m Rock again. I also borrowed a 28cm fin to help get on the plane a bit earlier. Perhaps it helped a bit, but not as much as a floatier board would have. Most other people were out on 92 litre boards or thereabouts.

I never really managed to get out beyond the breakers - which were a bit bigger than yesterday, but still managed to have a good time going backwards & forwards in the white water - occasionally getting a little air going over the breaking waves, but never able to point high enough/go fast enough to get over the bigger waves.

Yesterday's exertions began to tell after an hour or so - and everyone else had come off the water by that time so time to pack up & head for home.
